Summary
For Step 4 of the Capstone Project my group had to work on two assignments Project Experiments and Lab
Report. The purpose of having experiments was to test aspects of our design to see its faults and what could be improved a upon. With the results we obtained from the experiments we would then put them into the Lab Report.
The Lab Report was a way for us to organize our data and explain what we learned from doing these exxperiments.

Concepts
Microgrid - an independent self-sustaining large scale circuit that can operate off the main power grid. This will be the main focus of Capstone project and what we will be learning about for the next quarter year.
Solar Panels - A photo voltaic module that use sunlight to create energy. Solar panels will be one of the main energy producers for our theatrical design.
Hydrogen Fuel Cells - A hydrogen fuel cell will be the second main power source for our microgrid.
Diesel Generator - A deiseal generator will be our back up power source for our microgrid.
Lithium Ion batteries - Lithium Ion batteries will be how our microgrid will store energy created.
Regulator - A device that balances the amount of DC power that is going into a system, prevents batteries from being fried
Power Converter - A device that changes DC power (direct current) to AC power (alternating current)

Reflection
As of now in the Capstone Project I decided for my group to change the goal and design of our project completely. We are switching from an integrated microgrid for our school to a portable microgrid that can be used at schools for backup power or as emergency power during disasters. Skills that I have been improving upon since the last project up date has been work ethic and leadership. My work ethic has increased drastically since the last update. I am working over time to finish assignment and go out of my way to talk to mentors for their advice on the best design possibilities. As an example I have spent hours talking with our mentors and refining existing work. I have also been working on my leaderships skills a lot. I set a meeting with our mentors in person to discuss design possibilities and project experiments. I also gained funding from them to run our experiment and produce a small scale product. I have been working to increaser communication with my team on assignments that need to be completed.
Skills that I could have done better during step four was organization and collaboration. During step three my organization with our mentors was very poor. While planning for the project experiments I had a misunderstanding with our mentors on when we would be able to gain the materials need to create our project experiments, causing us to not do anything for a week. I also could have improved upon my collaboration too. I did a poor job of trying to incorporate teammates and assign work to teammates for this section of the project. Causing us to be behind on the project so far.
