Summary
For Step 3 of the Capstone Project my group had to work on two assignments the decision matrix and product life cycle research paper with an infographic. The purpose of the decision matrix was for my team and I to decide on what elements of our product are the most important. We did this through each team mate giving each elements a weighted value and then deciding as a time if we agree with these values. Once we finished the decision matrix we moved onto the product life cycle of our project. The important of the this assignment was to out line the raw materials used in our product, how those materials are obtained, how we will install those components, maintenance need for our product, how we can recycle parts of our product, and emissions produced from our product. We would also accompany this research paper with an infographic. That's purpose was to condense the information compiled in the product life cycle assignment.

Concepts
Microgrid - an independent self-sustaining large scale circuit that can operate off the main power grid. This will be the main focus of Capstone project and what we will be learning about for the next quarter year.
Solar Panels - A photo voltaic module that use sunlight to create energy. Solar panels will be one of the main energy producers for our theatrical design.
Hydrogen Fuel Cells - A hydrogen fuel cell will be the second main power source for our microgrid.
Diesel Generator - A deiseal generator will be our back up power source for our microgrid.
Lithium Ion batteries - Lithium Ion batteries will be how our microgrid will store energy created.

Reflection
Skills that I have been working on since the last project up date has been leadership and collaboration. Leadership was been one skill that I have been constantly working on for the entirety of this project. I try my best to explain my vision for the project and incorporate my team mates input too. I have also made an attempt as the group leader to encourage all of my team members to work the best on project. I have done this by asking my team mates what part of the assignment they would like to work on so they are not stuck with something they dislike. During step 3 of the Capstone Project, improving on my collaborating skills was a goal of mine. I made sure to hear all my teams thoughts and input on aspects of the project or communication with mentors. I would attempt to incorporate every one in the project to the best of my abilities, so every one was doing their fare share of the work. I additionally, reached out to our mentors for a tour of their microgrid, so we can as a group learn more about the lay out and functions of a microgrid.
Things I could have improved upon during the of working on step two of the project was communication and work ethic. During step 3 I had a lack of communication with my mentors. I didn't email them with information regarding our ongoing progress and rarely asked for assistance or guidance. However, we also had a hard time contacting them. This was mostly like due to the fires in recently in the North Bay Area, which is where they work. Another thing I could have improved upon was my work ethic. Although our decision matrix turned out well, our product life cycle was had to be revised. Due to bad communication and poor work ethic from myself the research paper didn't turn out that well for my portions and I didn't give my teams the right guidance on how I though it should be done.
